Here’s a couple of tips to get more out of your email marketing:
- Send an email at least once a month to your database that adds value to their lives or their business without asking for anything in return. So without asking for a sale. But perhaps you’re already sending an email once a month to your database promoting a product, service, promotion or a price offer so, in addition to that just schedule an email once a month that adds value to your clients or your potential clients. It might be as simple as “The top 3 things to look out for when …” or “5 techniques to help you …”
- The other tip is to just give them a teaser in the email newsletter, one or two sentences and a headline what this is about then a “read more” or “continue reading here” link which actually takes your database to your website for them to read the full article. So it might be “The top 5 techniques to get more out of your email marketing” for example. “In this article I’m going to explain the top 5 techniques to get more out of your email marketing, it covers things like X, Y &Z. For the full details click here.” And that takes them back to the website. Once they’re on the website, if your website has been designed with a good strategy in place then your website will do the work and convert that potential customer, hopefully, into a paying customer or someone who is engaging with your brand.
So use email marketing to add value to your list without asking for a sale at least once a month. The establishes regularity ad helps build trust and it helps establish you as a market leader in the minds of your clients and potential clients and just put a snippet in the email newsletter, just something they can scan really quickly and then a link back to your website so they can read all the details.
