Podcasting has always been a big part of my life. I started my first podcast, The WP Elevation Podcast, in 2013, and I’m now posting weekly episodes of The Agency Hour. I was also a voice over artist for several years and worked on projects for some of the biggest brands in Australia (Toyota, AFL, Seven News, Australian Open, Telstra, and more). I even sung the Cabdury jingle – “Wouldn’t it be nice if the world was Cadbury?” – yep, that was me. Speaking about what I love has always come naturally so that’s why podcasting and me are a great fit. As well as my own show, I love being a guest on other podcasts.
The WP Elevation Podcast
My journey with podcasting started back in 2013. At the time, there were podcasts that discussed entrepreneurship and business, but nothing that focused on digital agencies. So, naturally, I created one to fill that gap.
The inspiration for the WP Elevation podcast was essentially to start conversations that I wanted to hear. It was intended to help everyday agency owners connect with the thought leaders in the industry. I wanted a platform where these thought leaders could share their thoughts, methods, strategies, and opinions. And over the six years, I got to interview some pretty cool and inspiring people.
I made a list of 50 of the top people in the digital space and went about interviewing all of them. Talking with people like Seth Godin and Guy Kawasaki was a highlight, and there is some incredible wisdom shared across the episodes. The WP Elevation podcast wrapped up in 2019, but you can still listen to the entire library of episodes wherever you get your podcasts.
The Agency Hour
Nowadays, my podcasting attention is focused on The Agency Hour. Each week, I dive into various topics that agency owners want (and often need) to hear and learn about. New episodes drop every Thursday morning- set a reminder here.
We chat about big picture areas like growth, sales, marketing, becoming a CEO, and building and growing a team. But we also get into the nitty-gritty of agency ownership and discuss focused topics such as optimising processes, how to automate or productise your services.
Occasionally, we bring special guests and successful agency owners on to share their stories, insight, learnings, and knowledge. The Agency Hour is for digital creatives and agency owners looking for relatable content and practical advice.
